SmartAHS Model Libraries
This section describes SHIFT models of Automated Highway System (AHS) components.
The AHS components model highway layout, traffic patterns, weather conditions,
vehicle dynamics, actuators, communication devices, sensors and controllers.
In addition, for the purpose of simulation, various environment processors
are provided for maintaining vehicle-roadway environments, sensor environments
and receiver environments.
The overall architecture of the components is shown in Figure.
