Current Research

Alex is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience working under the supervision of Prof. Bruno Olshausen. His research interests include mathematical models of the human visual system, recurrent neural networks for continuous sequence prediction, neural network visualization techniques, and energy-efficient deep learning. He is a former NSF Graduate Research Fellow and is currently funded through the BDD model car project under Dr. Karl Zipser.
