Biography

Marco Innao, a graduate student researcher, is currently working with Professor Alexander Skabardonis and David Kan (GSR) focusing on developing optimization models for coordinated freeway ramp metering and traffic signals. Before starting his graduate studies at UC Berkeley, Marco worked as the key accounts manager for India for Savino Del Bene, an Italian Freight-Forwarding & Logistics company based in Mumbai. While in India, he also worked with EMBARQ managing a fuel efficiency improvement project for a major bus depot in the city of Chennai, along with other transport-related tasks. He also worked in Shanghai, China, with the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport as a research assistant, focusing on the integration of sustainable transport in global policies on sustainable development and climate change

Marco holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Bologna and a Project Management Diploma from the University of California Berkeley.
