Kelly Tang is a postdoctoral researcher at California PATH. She works on the project of Integrated Dynamic Transit Operation (IDTO) System Using Connected Vehicle Technologies. Her primary research collaborator at PATH is Joshua H. Meng. Before joining PATH, she was a HKPFS PhD fellow (3.5% successful rate) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where she was supervised by Hai Yang (former editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part B).
Kelly is actively engaged in both industrial and academic activities in Hong Kong, Denmark, Europe, Japan and the US, and has won over six awards in research and entrepreneurship during her PhD. She has collaborations and contributed a variety of research projects with HKUST, Technical University of Denmark, Beijing Transport Information Center, Didi Chuxing Technology, and Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. Her major research interests include transport economics, modeling and optimization of transport systems, data analysis and travel behaviors.
