Dr. Lian Cui is a Postdoc researcher at California PATH in Dr. Wei-Bin Zhang’s team. She works on eco-driving technology of connected vehicles. Lian Cui participates in SMART Mobility project, supported by DOE. Before joining PATH, Lian Cui received her B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University, China, in 2013, M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2015, and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Virginia in 2018. During the Ph.D. program, her studies include: 1) the mixed traffic (connected and automated vehicle (CAV) and normal human-driven vehicles) simulation platform development and its performance evaluations, 2) the human driver behaviors and reactions to CAVs on freeways, 3) robust Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) algorithm development, and 4) the eco-driving system implementation and evaluations on signalized intersections.
