Dr. Guo's research interests include:
- Decision-making of autonomous vehicles (i.e. route planning, intelligent navigation, maneuver planning) using machine learning techniques, collaborating with Dr. Ching-Yao Chan and Dr. Pin Wang;
- Combinatorial optimization with quantum computing techniques (i.e. quantum annealing), collaborating with Dr. Shaowen Wang;
- Operational management and scheduling in healthcare, manufacturing applications.
Dr. Guo earned his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University (China) in 2014, and his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Southeast University (China) in 2009. From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Guo worked as a project manager in Lean and Six-sigma institute of AVIC (China). From 2016 to 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in University of Illinois at Urbana and Champaign (U.S.). Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral researcher in California PATH (U.S.).
