Interstate 15, in San Diego, California, is one of two pilot sites selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation to participate in an ICM field demonstration (the other is US-75 in Dallas, Texas) to complete a more in-depth evaluation of ICM tools and technologies. PATH is providing technical support and advice to the I-15 development team for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the ICM system deployed in October 2013. PATH researchers have also played a critical role in the development and evaluation of the Decision Support System (DSS), especially pertaining to troubleshooting and the use of model simulations.
